Gorgeously Wed & Ever After - Your Weekly Dose of Zen.
Some days or perhaps everyday, we could use some relaxing and leave chaos out the door. We can’t always make it to the spa or retreat, so I wanted to share my way of creating the zen environment at home. Pampering your feet and body will help you sleep better and feel more at peace. Here’s to leaving the stresses outside your home. Love, D.
Anything blue is supposed to be calming to our senses, as is white.
Moisturize and Pamper. After bathing, moisturize your body with body cream or body oil and thick foot cream for the feet. After a long day, your feet are in need of some love. If you’re in the mood for extra goodness, paint your toes this refreshing light lavender blue. Right now, I’m loving the Essie blue in boxer blue.
Comfy Pajamas. Slip on your favorite pajamas to lounge in and open up a book or trashy magazine.
High Thread-Count Sheets. Make the bed with white sheets. I like 500 thread-count sheets, but any high-thread count sheets will work. We sleep so many hours and spend so much of our life in bed, we should make to sleep soundly and deeply.
White Sheets. I like white sheets, they remind me of my favorite resorts. White soft sheets will make your bed dreamy and heavenly.
Play with your pet. I love our new puppy and playing with her is so comforting. If you don’t have one, well, pet someone else’s!
Eye pillow. I love eye pillows. We have lavender-filled ones to put on our faces when we get into bed. They’re getting worn so I’ll have to get some new ones. But until then…. good night and sleep well.
